Ann Russo

Ann Russo is an Associate Professor in Women’s and Gender Studies who focuses on queer, antiracist, and feminist movement building to end violence and to build socially just and caring communities.  Her scholarly and activist work engages transformative justice theories and practices that cultivate communal healing, intervention, accountability, and transformation in response to systemic interpersonal, community, and state violence. Ann's new book, Feminist Accountability: Disrupting Violence and Transforming Power, explores accountability as a framework for building movements to transform systemic oppression and violence.
